Total eye-opening session. So much was revealed on daily things we are doing to encourage negative behavior. SO excited to grow into a leader for our dogs!

The training exceeded my expectations after this training already shows so much promise. We finished this session and already noticed a slight change. Makes me feel confident about what is coming and what I should expect. The trainer was super friendly and made the experience so much smoother. It was definitely a lot of fun and overall a great learning experience!

Dan is a lifesaver! Zoe is a 5 year old strong willed Corgi who constantly was barking, pulling, jumping and overall not listening. After the first lesson with Dan, my boyfriend and I saw a major improvement with how she was walking and she was starting to understand that she was no longer in charge. After our second lesson with Dan, my boyfriend and I saw a new well - behaved Corgi. She understands how to walk with us, she grasps that certain areas of the house are not her space but my boyfriend's and mine, and she is understanding the commands when we tell her not to bark. I did not think it was possible to see her improve and the fact that she did and turned the corner so quickly was very impressive! This is all thanks to Dan!

I have nothing but GREAT praise for Bark Busters and I would highly recommend them. When we contacted Bark Busters, our 1 year-old Golden Retriever already had a good grasp of basic commands and was a pretty good leash walker, but we wanted a little more in-depth training and some specific training/behavioral issues to work on. We originally wanted in-home training but due to COVID, everything was done via the internet. I wasn't sure how this would work out but the training worked out quite well. Our Trainer Marlene, was fantastic!. Her understanding of breeds, how a dog naturally thinks, learns and communicates made training easy and successful. And the after session notes and follow-ups were most beneficial. We also liked their positive reinforcement and humane, non-physical approach to training.
PermalinkI would recommend Bark Busters without hesitation. Marlene and her team are FIRST CLASS!

Karen was very good. She helped me understand how to speak dog so that I can begin to change my dogs behavior. I really like that Bark Busters does not use punishment or treats to train dogs but rather teaches me to better communicate with them.

Upon meeting Kyle, it was apparent that I made a wise choice having him as our trainer. He was very personable, and a consummate professional. It only took a few minutes of conferring with Kyle, that his passion for his job was apparent. He was so patient with me, and my dog, who has a barking issue. He took his time explaining the information to me. I observed his interaction with my dog, Ace, and I could see that it was genuine. He taught me various techniques to use with Ace, and low and behold he responded in a positive manner. I do not expect a miracle, but I believe that if Kyle continues to work with us, the old adage “ you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” may be laid to rest!! If you are seeking a knowledgeable trainer who produces positive results, then Kyle is your man.

Chris worked with us and our 3-year-old Golden Retriever Axel this past spring. We got Axel through a rescue on December 1, 2019. The only history we got was that he was approximately 10 months old and had come into a shelter in Texas as a stray. He had been in the care of several fosters since arriving in Maryland.
PermalinkOur main concerns were Axel’s separation anxiety and his jumping on people. He also had a tendency to pull on the leash during walks and sometimes bark at other dogs unprovoked.
Chris taught us no-nonsense, common sense techniques for dealing with the undesirable behaviors. By the end of our first session, Axel was already responding and changing his conduct! He even seems to find comfort in the expectations and boundaries, making him calmer overall.
We are very pleased and grateful for the knowledge and expertise Chris shared with us, and highly recommend Bark Busters. The training made our furry family member even more of a pleasure to live with!
