My two puppies were super sweet, but just too smart for their own good, and decided go crazy with dogs, people. Lots of pulling on the leash and barking. Walks were stressful, and I felt overwhelmed because they outnumber me. A friend recommended Bark Busters, and when I started working with Brandon my dogs changed from day one - it felt like magic. As we progressed through the training they got better and better - friends took notice immediately when coming over to the house. Recently had a few workers come through the house for repairs and the dogs were calm, no barking, jumping, listening to every command I gave them. It feels like magic still. I’m thrilled with the results of the training - now I get to just enjoy hanging out with my pups with no stress!

Brandon is absolutely incredible. After the unexpected loss of our dog, Blue, this past December, our other dog, Shadow, developed severe separation anxiety. We couldn’t leave him alone for more than five minutes without him howling and running around the house in a panic—our lives were completely upended.

We decided to hire a trainer for our dogs as our baby was starting to be mobile and wanted to learn how to correctly handle any unwanted behavior. Our dogs were not total menaces but not angels either when we started. Brandon has made this an amazing experience for us- our dogs are living in harmony with the baby, the barking at the window has been all but eliminated, and taking walks is beginning to be enjoyable! We’ve noticed a huge change for the better in the dogs and Brandon has given us the confidence to guide them. He also has taken the time to get to know our family and understand our needs. I cannot recommend him enough, he’s improved our lives!

My dog, Philly is a reactive, timid, anxious dog. Brandon has done an amazing job or showing me techniques to correct his behavior and helpful tips to keep him occupied while we’re not home. Would definitely recommend him!!

I honestly don’t even know where to start because this trainer completely changed our lives with our dog. We have an 8-month-old pitbull puppy, and before finding him, we were exhausted, overwhelmed, stressed, and genuinely at the point where we thought we might have to give her up. It was heartbreaking because we love her so much, but nothing we were trying was working.
PermalinkWhat stood out immediately was that he didn’t just “train dogs.” He understands dog psychology on a completely different level. He was able to read our puppy so accurately and explain behaviors in ways that suddenly made everything click for us. No one else had been able to do that.
Within a short time, we started seeing changes we honestly thought were impossible. Our puppy became calmer, more connected to us, more confident, and overall just happier. But the biggest change was in us, we finally felt like we understood our dog instead of constantly feeling defeated by her behavior.
I truly believe he saved us from making a decision we would have regretted forever. Now we can’t imagine life without our girl, and our bond with her is stronger than ever because of his help.
If you’re struggling with your dog, especially if you feel hopeless or like you’ve “tried everything,” please give him a chance. We are beyond grateful we did.

We are so thankful for Brandon's training guidance. Our pup needed more than basic obedience. I didn't have a lot of hope that anyone could turn our dog around but we saw positive results within 20 mins!
PermalinkI'm not saying that our pup is completely rehabilitated in one day but with the techniques we were given, patience and consistency; I now believe that our pup can become a fantastic canine citizen. PermalinkMy husband and I reached out because we have a reactive doggy, Zeus, and we had been postponing some much needed training.
Upon contacting James, he was very professional and transparent about the pricing and different packages.
We are very pleased with our decision in proceeding with this business as there was immediate improvement after just one session! James has done a wonderful job identifying the behavioral issues and triggers and explaining the processes of correcting Zeus's behavior. James also doesn't rush the process and is very attentive and intentional with the time spent during the sessions as well as with the communication updates sent via text. We are very happy and pleased with the progress made so far with Zeus, and we are excited to see continued improvements!

Jef was a great fit for our family and an excellent trainer to work with. What stood out most was that the training was just as much about teaching us as it was about teaching our dogs. He helped us better understand how to communicate with our dogs, read their behavior, and reinforce the right habits consistently.

Highly Recommend Bark Busters and James!
PermalinkWe couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Bark Busters, and specifically with James here in Bluffton, SC!
My husband and I adopted our Anatolian Shepherd Mix from a shelter when he was 6 months old. He is now 1 year and 1 month old, and he is the very first dog we’ve ever had with such a dominant, highly protective, and territorial personality. He has a strong instinct to guard us, which was a completely new experience for us to manage. We didn't want to change his natural personality, but we desperately wanted to understand him better and correct certain behaviors so we could handle him properly.
Based on the amazing reviews online, we decided to give Bark Busters a try. To be honest, we were a bit hesitant at first. Since this was all so new to us, we wondered if it would actually work and how things would go. However, we realized that understanding him was the best thing we could do for his own well-being. Looking back, we are SO glad we made that choice!
We’ve already achieved incredible results, and although the biggest part of the foundation is done, we are continuing our training journey with them. Our relationship with our dog has improved drastically, and we now truly understand how he thinks and communicates.
Our advice to anyone reading this: Do not wait until behavioral issues become severe! This journey is truly for everyone. It’s not just about fixing problems; it’s about learning how to communicate with your dog and building a deeper connection with them.
