Karen was very good. She helped me understand how to speak dog so that I can begin to change my dogs behavior. I really like that Bark Busters does not use punishment or treats to train dogs but rather teaches me to better communicate with them.

Upon meeting Kyle, it was apparent that I made a wise choice having him as our trainer. He was very personable, and a consummate professional. It only took a few minutes of conferring with Kyle, that his passion for his job was apparent. He was so patient with me, and my dog, who has a barking issue. He took his time explaining the information to me. I observed his interaction with my dog, Ace, and I could see that it was genuine. He taught me various techniques to use with Ace, and low and behold he responded in a positive manner. I do not expect a miracle, but I believe that if Kyle continues to work with us, the old adage “ you can’t teach an old dog new tricks” may be laid to rest!! If you are seeking a knowledgeable trainer who produces positive results, then Kyle is your man.

Chris worked with us and our 3-year-old Golden Retriever Axel this past spring. We got Axel through a rescue on December 1, 2019. The only history we got was that he was approximately 10 months old and had come into a shelter in Texas as a stray. He had been in the care of several fosters since arriving in Maryland.

Our main concerns were Axel’s separation anxiety and his jumping on people. He also had a tendency to pull on the leash during walks and sometimes bark at other dogs unprovoked.

Chris taught us no-nonsense, common sense techniques for dealing with the undesirable behaviors. By the end of our first session, Axel was already responding and changing his conduct! He even seems to find comfort in the expectations and boundaries, making him calmer overall.

We are very pleased and grateful for the knowledge and expertise Chris shared with us, and highly recommend Bark Busters. The training made our furry family member even more of a pleasure to live with!

Photo of Miss Priss (Prissy) Oh my goodness! 2 hours with Rachael and Betty Lou made a tremendous difference in our little poodle’s life. She did amazing and has already learned one of her major boundaries (the front door). We are so happy with our choice to use Bark Busters and I can’t wait to see the progress Prissy makes with their techniques!! Thanks ladies, you’re the best!!

Photo of Luna and Bella Mason was extremely helpful. He worked with me and my three teenagers so we understood the fundamentals of communicating with our dogs. He spent a lot of time understanding our concerns and provided a lot of information on nutrition for our rescue who was under weight. Mason went through several scenarios so we could practice the techniques. Food aggression was our biggest concern with our rescue, and with Mason’s guidance, we have been able to feed the dogs in same room without incident. Thank you so much! We now have the resources to provide our dogs a calm, clear environment that they can thrive in, together.

Fluff was a very bad girl. She would pee all over, jump on people at the door, protect any food she could get near. Overall she was just a mess and it was not a happy home. Bill from Bark Busters came in and put her in her place and us in ours. I loved that he did not use shock collars, prongs or anything painful at all on our little Fluff. He just focused on teaching us how to talk to her in way she understood. Thanks Bill!
