Bark Busters Home Dog Training Fort Myers FL, Cape Coral, Southwest Florida
Although we are only on day two of working with Bark Busters and the training techniques that Patrick gave us, we are already noticing incredible improvements in our pup! Reggie is a 13-month-old German Shepherd Dog and has recently been a little more than we can handle - typical puppy stuff, but lately, he has been difficult and due to his size and breed, we want to make sure we train him to his best potential. Patrick came over yesterday, and after consulting with me and my husband, we started working with Reggie and it was almost instantaneous how he responded to his new commands and our authority. It became very clear that not only was Reggie getting an education, but we are getting trained as well! We didn't hesitate to sign up for the full program and are going to do the homework assignments with Reggie, and honestly, we can't wait to have Patrick back over in a week or two to continue teaching us how to teach our dog the be the best he can be! If you are having ANY issues with your dog, call Bark Busters!Meg N.November 10 2017
Before I became a Bark Busters Dog Trainer,
I needed Bark Busters Dog Training
My dog Jake scored a "F" on the Bark Busters Home Dog Training
behavioral quiz. While on walks, Jake used to pull me to the point where I tried everything to get him to stop. I tried every dog shock collar and harness imaginable; I even carried treats with me. No matter what I tried, he seemed to do what he wanted to do. When the front doorbell rang, forget about it! It was like he was fired out of a cannon. Although alerting us when people were approaching the house was what we wanted, he took it way too seriously and was obnoxious about it. He would bark too much and charge the front door. If the person actually got in the door, he would jump up on them, mouth their hands, and would be a knucklehead for at least 15 minutes until he would finally settle down . . . that is, until someone in the house moved. Then, he would start up all over again.
When he turned four, we realized he would not calm down on his own. When we had company, we were forced to keep Jake in a separate room, on a leash, or outside. Jake had no manners, and we had had enough!
Since going through Bark Busters Home Dog Training, Jake now scores an "A" and is the dog our family wanted. (To see more of Jake, click on the video links below.)
When Jake and I returned from our extensive dog behavior certification program, our neighbors and family noticed a difference in him right away. They saw he was more relaxed because I was a better leader for him and could clearly communicate with him. He is now attentive to our needs, respectful of our house rules, and yet he still gets all the love and attention he can handle, but on our terms. He is now the poster dog for dog obedience.
I am so excited to be a part of such a great family-oriented dog training company that can help families become closer by allowing families to realize the full joy of companion dog ownership. I have been with Bark Busters Home Dog Training since February of 2007. In 2008 I was named office of the year. I have had the pleasure to successfully train over 1,600 dogs in Fort Myers and surrounding areas and I would be more than happy to train your dog too!
Like our family, you have a dog because you want it to be a part of your family - not to be the ill-mannered relative no one can stand but you tolerate anyway because, after all, he is family - but a pleasure to be around. We would all prefer to hang out with the cool aunt or uncle who understands the rules of your home and respects your leadership.
Bark Busters Fort Myers teaches you the best way to communicate with your dog in a way your dog will naturally understand, because we leverage the same techniques dog use to communicate with us. Dog training lessons typically last 2 hours. If your dog reacts like an average dog, you will likely see some positive changes in its behavior during that time.
Just imagine if you could train your dog as well as he has trained you!

how we can help you and your dog
The Bark Busters Home Dog Training Methods helps solve dog behavior issues such as aggression towards people or other animals
- Cure embarrassing habits like barking, jumping up on people, scratching & whining at doors or inappropriate toileting.
- Create an obedient dog or puppy that will happily walk on the lead without tugging, sit or stay on command, and come immediately when called.
- Set off-limit areas for your dog.
- Reduce the stress of separation anxiety without the need for sedatives or drugs.
We teach you to communicate with your pet.
Blah, blah, blah, bad dog! blah blah. Do you think your dog isn't listening to you? Maybe you're simply not speaking his language. You may have heard of dog whisperer or dog listener techniques. The Bark Busters dog training method is based on the way dogs communicate with each other and how they learn from older, more important dogs in the pack. This is what makes our dog training unique and effective.
Why do we train in your home?
Your dog lives with a family, in a home. This is where he misbehaves most often so this is where training is most effective. Dogs learn by association. Bark Busters teaches your dog to listen in the home environment. If he does not listen at home, he will not listen outside your territory.
Training in your home is a one-on-one system without the distraction of other dogs or the stress of being sent away for training.
Of course, where you are experiencing problems outside the home such as pulling on the lead or dog aggression, we will set up controlled training situations in the park or wherever is most practical.
