Our dog Shadow is a rescue who has had issues with other dogs on walks. We contacted and retained Bark Busters. Devin came out and helped us understand the special needs of rescue dogs. On Devin's first visit, we walked with Shadow and a robotic dog. He showed us how to handle Shadow better when walking by other dogs. Devin has subsequently come back out as a follow-up with Shadow, incorporating some new goals. Since the two sessions, Shadow has been much better behaved around other dogs on our walks. We're planning on another session in the near future. All of the sessions are included in the one lifetime fee. We've been very pleased with the results so far. Thank you Devin and Bark Busters!

Josh is an absolute wizard with dogs. We adopted a chihuahua that was giving us a headache with territorial behavior, growling, barking, and not listening to our commands. After working with Josh, we can recall our dog, walk him calmly and confidently next to other dogs, and he knows his boundaries inside the house. Our dog is so much more well behaved than we ever thought was possible at the beginning of the process.
PermalinkJosh's methods are all non violent, never relying on physical coercion. He instead teaches you how to communicate with your dog so that he understands what is right and what is wrong. Josh knows when to slowly introduce new methods to see constant progression. Josh doesn't promise overnight results, and indeed some of his communication methods do take some time to stick, but once they stick they are long lasting, permanent solutions.
Josh has a one time upfront payment fee. Even though he doesn't have any incentive to keep contact since he doesn't make more money per visit, he has always been proactive in setting up follow up consultations without us needing to push him. He identifies problem areas and sets up periodic visits even many months after our initial visit.
All in all, we had high expectations when we signed up with Josh but somehow he has still managed to exceed them.

Great experience working with Omar for training our 2 corgis. Our dogs seem to be picking up and responding effectively quickly after our first session! We are very hopeful that by utilizing the knowledge and approach taught to us that we will continue to see improvement. Very happy with our experience and would highly recommend.

I am so relieved and Happy I found barkBusters. A friend of mine recommended Karen as she had used her services a few years ago. I thought her dog was amazing and I wanted Tucker to be just like that or at least a portion of that.
PermalinkKaren came into our home, spent a good amount of time asking what our "wish list" was, gave her assessment and then we started the work. The suggestions and the assignments were nothing short of amazing. Tucker responded immediately. He seemed to actually enjoy the learning and ot only was he behaving well for karen, but for us as well as we were the ones who needed to communicate with Tucker. Its us the owners who needed to be taught. Normally when people visit, Tuckers all up in their business and barking and cant calm down and it seemed forever. A few hrs after Karen left, we were able to get Tucker to respond to our instructions and waited to greet our friends with 2 little ones and still was a happy puppy with our guests. I say its amazing and refreshing to be able to invite guests in without complete. The walking has also improved tremendously as Tucker would react to seeing dogs on walks, enthusiastically but scary to others, not any more. Its been so helpful and if you are questioning hiring BarkBusters, dont. Hire Karen

Incredible training session! My dog is an Australian Shepard rescue with a couple behavioral issues I'm trying to nip in the bud. In one session of a couple hours, Justine taught me a few simple ways to start to curb those issues. I was stunned! This is an incredible investment for anyone with fur babies. I can't wait to see what the next few weeks and months of work will do, if THIS is the change that I saw in just one day! Thank you so much Justine!

Patrick Hickey was so amazing to both Bogey and I! He came to my apartment and met Bogey and listened to me explain everything I wanted to work on (and there was a lot being Bogey is my first foster dog and first reactive dog). I cannot thank him enough for all his help, he made me feel more confident when working with my dog, so much that I saw improvement just after the first visit. He is great when handling dogs and made me feel comfortable to step out of my comfort zone with Bogey. He is very knowledgeable and helped a tremendous amount with just the first visit! Cannot recommend him enough

It was a pleasure meeting Jeri for our first training. I learned so much on how to relate to Reiff. I was so happy to see a improvement only with the first lesson and it made me very hopeful and excited to know that Reiff will be able to be the best obedient and happy puppy that he deserves to be. Jeri was down to earth but very professional and you could see she loves and cares deeply of all pets.

From our first encounter with the call assistant, Liz, to the times we’ve needed Ben after our first appointment, the level of care, professionalism, patience, and knowledge, can’t be beat. As a frugal family of four, the price accompanying the service was something we considered. However, we envisioned using a less reputable establishment and then still needing Bark Buster’s services in the long run. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED! Ben Miller, spent over 3 hours working with us (and our dog) on our first session. When he left, I am not exaggerating when I say, he left us with a different dog. He taught us how to communicate with our dog in a way she understands, respects, and ultimately listens to! It also is not an exaggeration to say that our quality of life has been better because of this. The added stress of a wild dog (along with wild kids, lol) takes a toll. Things are completely different now! If you are on the fence about this service, DON’T BE!! Having my best furry friend also be a good listener now, is worth its weight in gold!
