Barking is how dogs communicate, but excessive barking often signals boredom, anxiety, frustration, or lack of direction. Whether your dog barks at noises, people, or when left alone, it can quickly become disruptive. Excessive barking training in West Michigan can help you understand why your dog is barking and teaches effective ways to control it.

It also eases separation anxiety and keeps your dog safe during travel, storms, or busy household moments.

Barbara and I had a great first meeting. I've been practicing my homework with Bosley and Dolly and have already seen good results. Having the trainer come to the house where behavior starts is a real plus. Looking forward to our next lesson.
Barb has a great way with people and dogs. She is detailed, patient and caring in her approach. I highly recommend Barb if you are looking for help with your dogs and resolving their unwanted behaviors.
Barb showed up ready to go and I'll add gave us very good advice and we started training. Her suggestions worked immediately. Our dog was apprehensive about meeting someone new, but Barb quickly gave some very good advice and Lux responded, in my view right away. Lux and us couldn't be more happy or satisfied with just the first day. Our little girl is very smart and Barb explained that to us and Lux picked up right where we left off the next day. She already has shown tremendous appetite for learning! Barb's leadership and advice is fantastic and we are very pleased already. We are looking forward to further training visits and giving our Girl the guidance for her to be happy and have the life she deserves! Thank you so much Barb!
Barb was very professional and thorough. By the time Barb had left, Copper was showing improvement! With Barb’s guidance we have Coppers behavior inside our home has improved significantly for the better. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with Barb!
Thank you Sheri we had a great time with you yesterday, he is doing better, still working with him day and night. He is definitely minding more to stay out of the kitchen.
Thank you so much! Mollie, Dave and I learned a lot in just a short time! Thank you! Looking forward to seeing you again in three weeks. Have a great 4th!
We are making progress! We are walking 3 to 4 times a day in the yard. Big win...woman walking in street, Mac sees her and no bark....then if course 1 bark, I corrected and he quit.
Thanks for the pep talk the other day.
Tipsy is doing well! We took her on her first vacation over memorial weekend! We drove about 2 hrs to Cadillac and stayed in a pet friendly hotel. Tipsy did great riding and behaving at the hotel. We rode the side by side to the blessing of the ORV's in Irons Mi, and Tipsy really enjoyed the ride. At the blessing Tipsy didn't bark, growl or jump on or at any person or dog. She was so well behaved. We thank you for your time and teaching so we can have a well behaved dog. We will not hesitate to take Tipsy on the next pet friendly vacation!

We highly recommend Sheri -
Our dog has responded very positively to the Bark Busters program provided to us.
We have found the the techniques to be very effective and clearly understood by our dog and by us.
Bayley has responded very well and we anticipate that the principles will be well integrated and solidified through the consistent practice and implementation of the clear vocabulary and techniques. It has been such a pleasure to witness Bayley’s progress and to know that our investment is resulting in a happier and more well-behaved dog.
Thank you for coming and dealing with us and Frank - I'm excited to already see improvement! I'm working on selecting a new food and the mini daily training sessions, hopefully, he'll have made even more progress the next visit!
Blake
Hi Sheri, Good morning! Thank you for sending over the additional handouts. It was great meeting you on Friday. We're happy to have your guidance. This weekend went well with Tula-- we will be sure to reach out with questions.
Thank you! Monica Smith
Things went so well on our first lesson, I even cancelled the second lesson! I have two big Bassett hounds and the collars and leashes that Bark Busters uses are the cat’s meow! I was also amazed even the barking stopped.
Thanks Sheri.
Thank you! They both seem to be doing well with the door and walking. We can walk by the squirrels. We need to work on the recall, but we are seeing progress. Thanks again. Amy
Thank you so much, Sheri. We are doing our homework, and they're doing great so far.
Still a little excitement when we return home, but they do move back and don't jump as much. I printed all material you sent. We will go over it tonight if time allows. Thanks again. Looking forward to our next class.
Elsie
Hi Sheri!
I just want to let you know that three big milestones happen today!
- Blehu and I went for a walk, and ran into the dog that has attacked him. He lunged and jumped ONCE from a distance. I corrected him he looked at me and walked forward, looking back occasionally. The dogs family followed us most of the way home… and he was great!
- A jogger went past our driveway, he looked at him and didn’t bark even once!
- On our walk he walked right next to me for the full mile!
…. baby steps I guess!
Thank you SO very much!!!
- Wendy
Sheri Greenberger is a great trainer, not only to my puppy, but to me. She taught me so much on how dogs 'think' and how I can understand my dog better. It was a great experience. You sure helped me out tremendously We would recommend Sheri and the Bark Busters techniques.
Thanks for the nice letter and certificate with the pictures. Thanks so much for sending them! Crosby (and his owners) are doing great!
We all learned a lot from you and know you’re there if we ever backslide! We really appreciate you and your knowledge.
Darla
Sheri has been very helpful with Max’s door rushing and alpha issues. She is continuing to work with him on using stairs, has given some very good suggestions for this issue. We are continuing to work on this problem.
Hi,
Happy Holidays! Thought you would like to know that Otis was tested to the max the last few days and was very well mannered. Greeting people, not counter surfing (maybe twice) and quickly redirected. Gentle with a puppy guest. We were very proud of him and our house full of guests (most overnight) were comfortable. He was present, but not intrusive. Otis would go to his crate when he needed a break, on his own.
Thank you. I am now ready for more socializing in our home. Best regards, Kathy
Crosby had his first lesson two days ago and we are amazed at how well he responded. Sheri made this so much easier than we ever expected it to be!
Hi Sheri!
We have been practicing the last couple days, and will begin using the chart today to track our progress! I am so excited to begin this journey of becoming the leader Shea deserves.
Thank you for your help and clear guidance! I will send you a photo of chart at the end of the week, so you can see our progress.
Thanks!
Peggy, Colton and Shea
Hi Sheri,
Thanks for all the support you gave us on Sunday. It was a noticeable difference even in the afternoon. Both dogs were very quiet, and slept most of the afternoon.
As you thought, Daisy is picking it up quickly. If I bah now, both come to me. We are working on the door with both of them. I have been putting the pee and poop outside. We are getting better with the pee - 1 time so far and I think that is Leo. We still haven't gotten him to poop outside.
We did put the gate up and cat food on the other side of the gate. I bought new litter boxes. We are feeding like you suggested.
And for the first time, I was able to eat my dinner without being attacked!!!
This system works. Look forward to seeing you on the 22nd.
Deb
It was wonderful to have Sheri come in and help us with our boys. We were feeling very defeated with some behaviors that both dogs were exhibiting, because we have always viewed them as great boys. After the first session, the boys really responded well to direction and we quickly saw an overall change in how the boys responded to commands and saw that my fiancé and I were in charge. We’re happy we made the choice to go with Bark Busters!
Hi Sheri!
I wanted to let you know Deuce is doing so much better! It's like he is a completely different dog from when we first got him! Have a great holiday month!
Cassidy
Hi Sheri. Thanks for the additional information. Training is going well. We work with Caty every day, and it shows in her behavior
