Johnny Jumper is AMAZING!!! He is the "Cesar Millan" of Orange County. Our dog Bear showed significant improvement after just one training visit. Johnny is professional and always goes above and beyond for his clients. Our dog has continued to grow and thrive due to Johnny's training/leadership. I highly recommend Johnny and Bark Busters. We are very happy with the results.

We had just adopted our rescue Bichon, Missy, only two weeks before calling Johnny @ Bark Busters.
On his initial visit, he first took the time to get to know Missy and listen to what our issues were. We then went over each issue with Johnny and Missy, then on our own. We were surprised when our session went way over the estimated time, but Johnny understood what we needed to get through before he left us, and we did. We have seen tremendous improvement with Missy, and are almost to the point of scheduling our second session.
We would recommend Bark Busters and especially Johnny Jumper for anyone who has a dog with issues, or needs behavioral work.

A few short weeks ago, our 4 dogs (yes 4, it’s a long story) were completely out of control. I couldn’t walk in my front door without being jumped on and scratched from ankle to hip. They barked uncontrollably at every knock and doorbell ring (including the perceived ring of Uber Eats commercials that were clearly contrived by cat owners). They rushed the door, crowded us when we sat down to dinner, the list goes on. All the “bad” dog behavior you can think of, they did it. And most critically, they began to fight. When we added the 4th dog to our long time pack of 3, chaos ensued as they attempted to figure out the pecking order. The newest (and youngest) addition began to challenge the alpha matriarch. We knew we had to make a change when one was seriously injured (don’t worry dear readers, she is happy and healthy now). We were consumed by guilt. How could we, experienced and long time dog owners, have failed so miserably? First, we reached out to a local trainer recommended by our vet. Much to our shock, before conducting any training or assessments, they told us rehoming was the only option. Devastated, we sought a second opinion and found Lori online. And let me tell you, this woman is an answer to our prayers. After the first training session, we felt empowered to restore harmony in our home by taking command of our pack. The “bahh” (you’ll know when you know) took some getting used to, but by the end of the session we saw massive behavior improvement that has only continued each day with consistent (and frankly easy) training. Lori taught us how to “speak dog” and be the leaders of our pack. Not only are we happier, but our dogs are clearly happier too. They look to us for direction instead of fighting amongst themselves. And our most perfect alpha matriarch (who is a tripod by the way) is finally at ease without the pressure of keeping everyone in line. Lori changed our lives and never once made us feel like bad dog owners. You won’t regret the decision to welcome her into your home.

Photo of Kona and Sunny Diane and John are so knowledgeable and kind! Admittedly, I was skeptical of dog training that isn't based on treats OR punishment, but I'm a believer now. It didn't take long for us to realize that we were the ones that need training. I mean, we were doing things all wrong and our dogs had US trained! And by "we" I mostly mean my husband. We've only had one visit from Diane and John so far, and we've been practicing what we learned in the initial consultation. In just 9 days, these two dogs have learned to walk on loose leashes. Prior to starting with Bark Busters, I was not physically able to walk either of these girls by myself because they pulled like sled dogs 100% of the time. This made me sad because they LOVE going on walks. Now I feel "in control" on our short walks. We will build on that and increase the length of walks as well as introducing "distractions". We're also working or reactivity to visitors at the front door. The techniques we learned in visit #1 are working well so far and the barking and lunging at the door is dramatically decreased. We still have lots of work to do, but I am so happy that we called Bark Busters. Their pricing is very reasonable, especially considering they offer a lifetime guarantee. Besides, you will learn so much from them that you can apply to any future pets that might find their way into your home...like they do! I seriously wish I had known what they taught me on day 1 thirty years ago.

Photo of Lily I never realized how following such a simple process would help my anxious dog. So much calmer and less stressful to walk with. The experience was great and has made us realize how we were more of the problem than my dog. We feel so much more empowered to help our dog maintain her tranquility.

He has a great understanding of dog behavior and was able to coach us through how to train our dogs Luna and Roo. He responds quickly to any questions you have via text or call and his help has been priceless! I strongly recommend using him and Bark Busters if you need dog training!

Photo of Gable I got Gable when he was 18 months old. First time dog owner starting off with a Doberman Pinscher. I did my research for years, read books, watched dog training videos and we were doing pretty good I thought. Gable however was acting very aggressively around other dogs and I made little to no progress on my own, as a matter of fact things were getting worse. I started searching online for trainers and I stumbled upon Bark Busters. Middle of Covid, our first training was over zoom, and even so it was a game changer! I earned my dog's respect in 3 days and in return he did everything I asked of him. Our relationship got to a new level super fast. Soon he earned my unconditional trust and become a real family member. I got to a point with him that I can trust him off leash most of the time, too! We are still working on some dog reactivity, but the before and after can't even be compared. I started off with him pulling on the leash, and whenever he saw another dog I had to hold him back, and he would bark and be up his hind legs. Soon it toned down to staring (which we are still working on), and he never pulls on the leash, and he does everything I ask from him.

I'm truly grateful for Ms. Paula for helping me understand Gable's language, and giving me the best dog ever!

Thank you Jonas. I have loved training Gable and you. You are so good with him. I believe he is already an outstanding dog and he will become even more with you as his owner. Thank you for inviting me into your lives and for giving me the opportunity to train you. It has been a pleasure.

Photo of Cobalt & Ghost I feel so fortunate to have met Johnny. His love and respect for dogs is clear, as are his teaching methods. It was amazing to see an immediate effect, the dogs understood his communication style and quickly responded to him. He is patient, and takes the time to listen and understand the family dynamics and prioritization needs for behavior modifications. Even after my two dogs were passed out from over an hour of mental stimulation, Johnny stayed longer to work with me and give me guidance for other things to work on before our next session. I have already recommended him to several friends and neighbors, it is money well spent to enroll in this program especially if you are fortunate enough to be in Johnny's service area! 5 stars aren't enough to express how awesome he is!

I really enjoyed working with Ducky today. He is an awesome pup that has found his new forever home. He really has been struggling with adjusting. We addressed his separation anxiety and basic behavior in the home. He responded very well. I am looking forward to his progression over the coming weeks.
