Bark busters has been a life changing experience, we were skeptical since we’ve had little success with dog trainers. From the first lesson we saw drastic improvement in our dog’s behavior and it’s been night and day from before to now. I highly recommend James and his team he is responsive and very active in following up on our dog’s progress. If you’re serious about getting help for your dog James is the answer.

Working with Jared from Bark Busters has been an amazing experience. He brings a calm, understanding approach and takes the time to really listen and tailor his guidance to your specific situation. One thing that stood out to me is how much emphasis he puts on teaching *us* how to communicate with our dogs effectively, which makes the results stick long-term.
PermalinkBefore his help, having guests over was nearly impossible—our dogs would get overwhelmed and reactive. Now, we’re able to host gatherings without worry, and the difference in their behavior is night and day. It’s been such a relief to see them more relaxed and balanced.
The progress we’ve made feels huge, and it’s all thanks to Jared’s thoughtful and practical training style. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for real, lasting change.

James really knows his stuff. My dog was a different dog after our first lesson. The methods he showed me made so much sense and my dog responded to them like I never seen. James is also very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and great to work with. Very highly recommended.

We got in touch with Mark from Bark Busters of Northern VA to assist us with our 1 & 1/2 year old West Highland Terrier that was assuming the role of a leader and very reactive. Our Westie was reacting mostly out fear towards these things: larger dogs, kids on scooters or e-bikes, joggers, baby strollers, the doorbell, and delivery and trash trucks. Mark came to our house within 2 days of outreach on a holiday and in just our very first session with Mark, our Westie was well on the way to becoming the dog we knew he could be. Mark taught our family how to be the leaders and to communicate with our dog the way that dogs communicate with one another. Our dog's improvement was almost instantaneous. He is now much more relaxed and it is like a weight has been lifted off of his shoulders. We are incredibly grateful to have found Mark and his talented support team who efficiently captured pertinent information about our pup in advance of our session and assisted with scheduling our Training Time with Mark. Mark was well aware of our areas of interest in advance of our session and gave us many useful ideas and ways to train our dog. The slides and videos Mark shared with us were super insightful. He left us with "homework" (a training schedule) and training exercises that we can continue to use with our dog. The training aids Mark demonstrated and recommends are great. They are easy and incredibly effective. Many Thanks to Mark and Bark Busters Team, our dog is well on his way to being the well behaved dog we know he can be. We can reconnect with Mark when needed as our little guy matures!

Working with Andy and the results we saw with our dog during the first few hours of training have far exceeded our expectations. On Day 1, Andy very clearly articulated his training methodology and philosophy, answered all our questions, and really taught us how we should interact with our dog. We were shocked to see positive results during just the first couple of hours. Each visit and session since has been equally productive and positive, and Iroh LOVES him! We’re so impressed by Andy and Bark Busters and would recommend his training program to anyone who wants to learn —not be told — how to interact with their dog.

I am so happy that Mason was able to come out to my home and train my dog. And not only train my dog, but also train me on how to teach him not to pull on the leash. And also to teach my dog on how to jump into my car. Before Mason, I would always have to pick up my dog to put him into my car. My dog is a Siberian Husky, so he is a medium size dog. He isn’t heavy at all, he weights about 47.8 pounds. But I don’t want to pick him up and always put him into my car for the rest of his live. Now he is jumping up and down in my car and it’s all thanks to Mason!

Rocket was a handful to say the least and I was honestly concerned he was going to get some kid on a bike hurt lunging and barking or attack a jogger so I called. Justin has been amazing and now walking my boy has become the highlight of my crazy day. I literally saw huge progress in the first session, and Justin is amazing at following up and working on reinforcing, other issues, new situations like a recent road trip vacation with other dogs. I honestly never expected to see this level of improvement and thought it would take months to do what I saw in hours.
