Steve is the best dog trainer and my 3-year old Yorkie is a new dog after only one session. Archie was a barker and had terrible separation anxiety. Last night, after Steve left I tested the strategies. I put him in his crate and left the apartment. Archie lasted 50 minutes without a back and I was able to play tennis. Not bad! Today has been a dream. One time he barked when getting on the elevator this morning and I 🐑 bard him really firmly and that was the end of barking. Absolutely Amazing!

My husband and I were 4 weeks with our new labradoodle and he wouldn't stop biting. He was losing respect towards me and would somewhat be a bit aggressive towards me. He's a smart boy who's really smart but would know how to get his way. After just 1 session with Sarah we saw a NOTICEABLE difference. He's SO much calmer now and takes direction much better. He's still a puppy so he isn't perfect but he's truly learned the foundation for obedience.

Since our first session with Steven and with the homework exercises we’ve been doing consistently, we’ve been able to rebalance the leadership dynamics in our home and introduce much-needed structure and rules. The difference in Miki’s behavior has been remarkable—he is so much calmer and more responsive.

What we appreciate most is that this training is done entirely out of love and focuses on canine communication rather than a punishment/reward system. It has helped us better understand Miki’s needs and how to guide him in a way that makes him feel secure and balanced.

I was skeptical of trying yet a third dog trainer to stop my 3 1/2 year old Maltipoo from barking. I was highly referred from a friend, and I gave it a chance.

Steve came to my apartment and met Lily, who proceeded to bark. Steve stood up, did his stance and gutteral noise, and Lily stopped her barking cold. It is not an exaggeration to say she became a different dog from that moment. In one session, Steve taught me how to reclaim my leadership in our relationship, and how to use her instinct to please towards redirecting her bad habits.

At the end of the session, we sat in an outdoor cafe at a busy intersection where many other dogs pass by. Lily would normally be barking incessantly. The New Lily sat quietly at my feet, not in fear, but reconciled to the fact that it is no longer her job to scare away other dogs. I am so grateful.

We became pet parents 6 years ago. We researched trainers, with Bark Busters as our number 1 choice. At the time, we didn't have the finances required. Fast forward 6 years and several 'treat oriented' trainers, our dog Mork was still exhibiting reactivity. This time we called Bark Buster and enrolled without hesitation. Our trainer. Steve Colavito, helped us understand the psychology of a dog - the pack mentality and the importance of establishing ourselves as the 'alpha' for the well being and comfort of our dog. His demonstrations and instructions were very clear and was very accessible for follow up. Steve was fantastic. He came over to help us with Penny (5 years old - Beagle/Lab mix) and Gremlin (4 years old - Frenchie). Immediately, he was able to help them out with their sibling rivalry, barking, and walking.

Steve spent only 3 hrs with me and my tiny 3.5 pound Biewer Terrier and the results were immediate! Ms Shimmer used to bark at TV commercials, every time I was on Zoom, when my phone rang or my printer was printing, when the buzzer rang and at hearing any noise in the hallway of my apt building. She had a stranger-danger issue, morning, noon and night, even at 3am. I am still reinforcing her training, of course, but one command when she barks will stop her, plus a lot of love when she obeys. She is walking next to me now and not pulling. Steve was great at teaching me too on how to behave in a way to take command! Definitely worth the expense to get instant results without loading Shimmer up with unnecessary treats. Shimmer and I have a new relationship and peace again reigns! Both of us are happier now and my neighbors appreciate the quiet too! Definitely recommend giving Bark Busters a try!

I thought that getting my four-year-old Cavapoo her own puppy would help with keeping her company when I would be at work or go out. The new puppy was a rescue, and it was an adjustment for all of us. Over the last year, these two amazing individual dogs started to rub off on each other in negative ways surrounding separation anxiety and excessive barking, to the point that even if I just walk toward the front door the barking is so bad it sounds like actual screaming. The barking was relentless for hours, with no break in between, when I would not be home. They began being triggered by every single noise they heard even if they were sitting next to me on the couch. I tried other dog trainers with no success until we met Steve. Steve’s consultation doesn’t just include explaining to you what the process will be like but he spends hours training you on how to regain respect and your alpha status again, as well as how to “speak canine” to your dogs. The way in which he taught me to communicate is different than anything I ever knew before, including from the trainers that I used in 2019 when I got my first dog. In just a couple of hours there were already significant obvious improvements in their behaviors. These situations are not only frustrating for owners, but no dog lover wants to know that their babies are suffering emotionally with anxiety and it can make you feel very helpless. I asked Steve if he taught Cesar Milan everything he knows because Steve is the first person I’ve ever seen connect with dogs the way I’ve seen Cesar for years watching him on TV. I’ve wasted money on people who truly had no effect, but I wasn’t ready to give up regardless of cost. You have to realize that this is an investment. Bark Buster is there for you indefinitely for the rest of your fur babies lives, and to support you as an owner too. I cannot say enough about my experience so far and would recommend 10 out of 10, all day! My best advice is, if you feel like things are hopeless, no matter what you’ve tried, don’t give up. Bark Busters absolutely will make it possible for you and your pet(s) to live a very happy and healthy life together!

We are so happy we reached to Bark Busters for help with our two dogs. Our pups were triggered by everything; noises in the hallway, people ringing our door, deliveries, other tenants walking or talking in the common areas. Outside, we couldn't be anywhere near other dogs without a scene. It was constant pulling, barking, lunging and redirecting. There were no days where we could just sit outside with them at a cafe, or go to the park and just chill, because they would react at practically everything that moved past us. When Steve, our trainer, came and showed us how to correct their behaviors and teach us how to make them feel we had their backs, our lives began changing in just a few days. They were like completely different dogs! Our dogs now believe and have the confidence that we can protect them, so they don't feel the pressure or stress to do it. They no longer lash out at perceived threats. They walk calmly on a loose leash, and our house is a quiet place. Did we have to do some work? Absolutely, but the 15 or 30 minutes a day is totally worth it. We and our furbabies are living our best lives. Thank you so much, Steve and Bark Busters.

I had so much anxiety for my rescue dog, who was extremely scared of my housemates. Bark Busters not only helped stopped the barking at my housemates (as the name suggests) but helped with basic obedience, helping her get used to her environment, and created a stronger bond between me and my dog.

Their approach does not involve treats or reward systems which makes a much longer lasting approach to dog training. I highly recommended Bark Busters to help with any new dog (rescue or puppy).

Sarah was so very kind.

Clearly, she loves dogs. But I would also recommend her as a "human trainer." She gave us some great tips on how to try to control our puppy's biting and anxiety. After our first meeting, she sent me an excellent email recommending a couple of first-rate products that I could get on Amazon. She also recognized that, because of our advanced age, we weren't sure that we were going to be able to keep Samantha. (especially because my husband is suffering from late-stage Alzheimer's). Again, she was very kind and honest, leaving us with some things to

My puppy, Max, is an active, precocious Chihuahua. He displays the normal puppy behaviors so Sarah is teaching us what is appropriate puppy behavior and what is not and how to get him to listen. The BarkBusters method is simple, fun and effective.
