Meet Johnny, Your Local Professional Dog Trainer
Home Dog Training in East Orange County, CA!
At Bark Busters, we believe better communication creates better behavior. Our mission is to help dogs and their humans speak the same instinctual, natural, and respectful language—building stronger, lasting relationships. That’s what changed my life as a client and what I now do every day as a trainer.
I’ve been a professional dog trainer for over six years, but dogs have been part of my life from the start. Growing up in an animal-loving family, I was drawn to helping dogs—especially those struggling to fit into our human world.
I first discovered Bark Busters when my parents hired a trainer for their two Golden Retrievers. Watching the dogs become calmer and more focused—and the household stress disappear—inspired me to become a trainer myself.
Since then, I’ve helped dog owners across Orange County with everything from basic manners to complex behavior challenges. Certified through Bark Busters and mentored by senior trainers, I use a dog-friendly, results-driven approach tailored to each dog and home.
I specialize in pet dogs, puppies, and rescues—especially those with behavioral hurdles like leash reactivity, aggression, separation anxiety, and excessive barking. I offer private training in the home, in public spaces, and virtually, with lifetime support for long-term peace of mind.
My passion is preventing good dogs from ending up in shelters due to fixable behavior problems. I take pride in helping owners not only manage but truly enjoy life with their dogs. If you're looking for an experienced trainer who understands dogs—and takes the time to understand yours—I’m here to help you build a respectful, lasting bond.

Proper Dog Socialization – The Calm, Confident Way
Think socialization means letting your dog greet every pup at the park in Anaheim, Irvine, Huntington Beach, or nearby? Not exactly.
At Bark Busters East Orange County, we know true socialization is about exposure—not constant interaction. Our goal is to build your dog’s confidence so they can stay calm, focused, and responsive in any environment.
Why Proper Dog Socialization Matters
Dogs who are properly socialized are:
- Calm around other dogs and people
- Less reactive in new situations
- More focused on their owner for guidance
- Confident without needing constant interaction
We're Experts in Teaching Proper Socialization
How Bark Busters’ In-Home Training Helps You

Reactivity vs. Aggression – How to Tell the Difference
Does your dog bark, lunge, or growl at people, dogs, or even everyday objects? You might wonder—is it aggression or just reactivity?
At Bark Busters East Orange County, we help dog owners from Anaheim to Yorba Linda understand the difference and bring calm back to their home.
What is Dog Reactivity? Signs and Causes
Reactivity is an emotional overreaction—often caused by fear, frustration, or excitement—not a desire to harm. Signs include:
- Barking, whining, or lunging
- Difficulty calming down
- Overreacting to changes or distractions
What is Dog Aggression? Warning Signs to Watch For
Aggression involves intent to create space, defend, or protect. Signs include:
- Growling, snapping, or biting
- Guarding food, toys, or people
- Stiff posture and intense stare
Why Knowing the Difference Between Reactivity and Aggression Matters
Knowing whether your dog is reactive or aggressive helps you address the root cause and create lasting change. Our in-home training focuses on reading body language, building trust, and communicating in a way your dog understands.

Stop Leash Pulling – Better Walks Start Here
Struggling with leash pulling in Anaheim, Irvine, Huntington Beach, or nearby? You’re not alone, and we can help.
At Bark Busters East Orange County, we specialize in in-home dog training that transforms chaotic walks into calm, controlled experiences. Leash pulling is more than just annoying—it’s a sign of stress, overstimulation, or a lack of communication between you and your dog.
Why Dogs Pull on the Leash
Most dogs pull because they’re excited, distracted, or not trained to follow your lead. When they drag you down the street, they’re in control—not you—and that behavior can spill over into other parts of life.
The Hidden Problems Behind Leash Pulling in Dogs
Dogs who pull are often:
- Overstimulated and anxious
- More reactive to people or other dogs
- Less obedient at home or in public
- Harder to bond with due to daily walk frustration
Proven In-Home Dog Training to End Leash Pulling
Bark Busters training is simple, natural, and done in your home. We teach you to start walks calmly, set the pace, stop pulling, and build lasting trust and leadership with your dog.
Whether you’re in Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Yorba Linda, or anywhere in Orange County, we’ll come to you. Our customized dog training is designed for your dog’s unique personality and your daily routine.
Ready for stress-free walks? Say goodbye to pulling and hello to peaceful walks and a stronger bond. Contact Bark Busters East Orange County today for expert help that comes right to your door.
