We had an excellent experience with Johnnie Jumper from Bark Busters! Charlie had a habit of excessive barking, and we were struggling to get his attention when he became distracted. I was ready to move out with Charlie from the house we had just bought with my mother-in-law because his barking was driving her crazy. Johnnie was patient, knowledgeable, and explained everything in a way that was easy for us to understand and practice at home.
The results were noticeable right away. Charlie learned to stop excessive barking, respond consistently to the "leave it" command, and the "place" command has been a game changer for helping him stay calm and settled when guests come over or when things get busy around the house, especially at the door and in front of the house. Charlie is also now comfortable riding in a car with us going places, when before he was a shaky mess. Johnny also supported us through Charlie’s picky eating. I have been able to contact Johnny with numerous questions, and he always responds with helpful advice. Best of all, we are covered for anything that comes up with Charlie for the rest of his life.
What we appreciated most was that Johnnie didn't just train Charlie—he taught us how to communicate with and lead our dog confidently. His guidance gave us the tools to continue reinforcing the training, and we've seen a huge improvement in Charlie's behavior.

Through the right guidance, training, and tools Elroy is now an amazing family dog who loves going hiking and enjoys going out almost anywhere with us. With much consulting with Johnny we decided Elroy was ready to bring another dog into our family, so about 7 months ago we added Apollo, a 2 month old Rottweiler. Johnny has continue to support us from introducing the dogs to each other, each stage of Apollo's puppy development, and now continued training and development for both dogs together. Johnny has been extremely supportive with any dog related questions and we love that he is able to help us with anything we want to add to our dogs skill set as well as encouraging us to try new things to enrich our dogs.

He's also a joy to work with for us humans, too. We enlisted his help for ordinary puppy stuff like stealing and chewing things, counter surfing, and leash pulling. And also for more advanced goals like off leash recall. He knows how to address every issue effectively. What sets Johnny apart from other trainers I've known is his HUMAN skills. He is encouraging, patient, and not critical. He'll answer our questions or assuage our concerns about anything related to our dog, even if it's not training-related. He's very flexible with scheduling and excellent at communicating in person, via text, and more. We had trepidations that training wouldn't be worth the price. But 6 months in, it's been worth every penny.
