I’m Paul Pagano, providing professional in-home dog training across South Jersey, including Toms River, Cape May, Cherry Hill, and Atlantic City. For nearly 20 years I’ve helped local families address barking, jumping, pulling, anxiety, and everyday obedience challenges. I’m also a husband and father of four, and my kids still ask about the dogs I work with each day — which keeps this work personal for me, not just professional. We were having issues with Monkie’s “fear barking/growling” and did not like the aggressive behavior toward new people. After just 1 session we learned so much and Monkie was already acting like a changed dog. Only 2 sessions in now and we can not believe the progress. Paul is an excellent trainer. You can tell immediately that he is a dog lover and extremely knowledgeable on dog behavior. He explained to my husband and myself different techniques to train Ronald, my 58 lb pitbull in the behaviors we were trying to correct. Within the first half hour Ronald was responding. It’s now 3 weeks since the initial training session and Ronald is still doing great with some reminders of course.

Paul did a great job helping us get our 2 year old 100 lb husky/malamute mix under control. Timber was running the household and we were giving into his demands. He was jumping on us and demanding attention when we were trying to watch TV and he was always counter surfing when we were trying to prepare food.

From our very first session we learned how to be the leader of the pack and Timber responded so well to the training. Now he doesn't demand attention but we give him even more attention now that he is calmer. He is a much happier dog now and we have a much calmer household. We highly recommend Paul!

We've had great success in training our boxers Cooper and Harper through Bark Busters. Boxers are notorious for their hyperactivity and training difficulty. With Paul's training, our boxers are respectful of other people and dogs. Our family learned how to positively reinforce acceptable behaviors and how to reduce and eliminate poor behaviors through hands-on learning. We were provided with techniques and strategies to navigate every situation from housebreaking to recalling. Paul P. is outstanding! Our little mixed pup is about a year and a half and very energetic/stubborn. My husband and I honestly thought he was untrainable. Then we decided to try Paul and Bark Busters, and after only one day were amazed with the results! After a solid month and a half of working at the techniques taught to us, not only did our Maui learn to walk properly on a leash (i.e. no barking or pulling), but he also has learned to come to us when he is called and no longer jumps up at guests who come in through our front door. With a baby on the way, we greatly appreciated Paul's expertise and advice, as well as his willingness to make himself available to us whenever we needed. We especially liked that how obvious it was that Paul truly cared for our Maui and in no way had to bribe him with treats,nor use any means of physical punishment. I cannot recommend Paul highly enough, but if you feel as if you are at the end of your rope, I implore you to give Paul a call and see the amazing results for yourself:)

This is the first time I ever needed a dog trainer and I am extremely pleased I picked Bark Busters and Paul Pagano. This past Easter I adopted an 8 year old wired hair terrier/beagle who had several issues once home. The biggest being separation anxiety. I chose Bark Busters after reviewing several companies and found them to be the only one that trained dogs at home.
Mr. Pagano came into my home assessed the situation and began training the first day. It’s been almost 2 months now and Blackie is a completely different dog. My husband and I have seen major changes after just one session with Paul. I have a 5 year old 110 lb Siberian Husky who basically ran our house before Paul came along. He is very excitable and stubborn and we had a hard time establishing the dominance that was needed to train our dog. Paul helped us out so much in 1 session and we are so pleased with his skills and ability to get through to our dog so quick. He gave us homework to do in between our sessions and we have been working hard to follow his plan. We are excited to have a very obedient pup and trained husky after all our training is done! This is my second time using Paul Pagano. I used him several years ago for my very naughty 7 year old Border Collie and again now for my 5 month old hound mix for puppy training. Paul is prompt, friendly, and very prepared. He completely discusses your dog and family's needs and explains the program in great detail. Paul uses only body language and small training bags to get your dogs attention. He then teaches you how to do the same things with step by step instructions. Paul never raises his voice and yet the dog instantly knows what is expected of him/her. Paul comes to your house which is so much less stressful for your dog. I highly recommend Paul Pagano for your dog training needs.

Paul was awesome! We highly recommend him for dog training. Our dog started to develop aggression to strangers entering the house and Paul was able to teach us methods to manage this new behavior. Now, he is able to greet guests appropriately. Also, we tried different techniques for dog walking and he has been doing great since the session. We are very pleased with the outcome and saw noticeable differences just after the session. Our family highly recommends Paul.

We have tried a variety of trainers and training techniques with our 7-year-old Boxer mix, but never had any real luck in correcting the behaviors we needed her to stop. However, after just our initial session with Paul, we couldn’t believe how different she was already acting when using his techniques. One of the main issues we had with Laynee (our pup) was her reaction whenever someone came to the house. She barks, runs all over, goes crazy, and basically doesn’t allow the person in the house without trying to jump and run them over. Paul went over the main ways to help correct this habit and worked with us to practice it during the first session. By the end of his work with us that first day, she was already behaving much better when presented with the situation. In addition to this issue, Paul asked us for a wish list of things we needed her to fix or improve upon and started going through each one with us. He gave us helpful information and a training schedule to follow in practicing the methods on our own. Today is day one of us practicing alone and Laynee is already behaving so much better. We are amazed at how well his methods work and love that he does not use any treats or physical means (shock collar, etc) in how he works. We are excited and optimistic that with our continued work and having Paul’s assistance, we will finally be able to enjoy being with our girl all the time and not having to constantly worry about her behavior. My husband and I are thankful we found Paul and wish we had come across him sooner. We highly recommend him and his training methods!
