Jef was so knowledgeable and worked with us on meeting the specific needs of our dog. He was flexible when it came to scheduling our in-home training session and very patient with us and our dog as we were learning. He gave us things to practice with our dog daily to help improve his behavior. We have already seen improvements in our dog in just a week!

I want to share my experience with Jef Evans, who has positively impacted my dog, Myla. Jef's training has helped us become better leaders/dog parents for her. Initially, I was skeptical about whether there was any hope for Myla, as she was almost seven years old and displayed a strong desire to be in control and protect us. However, we noticed a remarkable change within the first 24 hours of training. I can't believe we don't have to manipulate the dogs with treats. We also don't have to spank them like children.

Myla is a 30 lb Boston terrier/pit mix who has shown aggressive behavior due to being attacked several times. This behavior led to attacks on our other dog, Samson, a 60 lb lab/pit mix, resulting in $1,200 in veterinary care this year. Myla also caused injuries to other dogs, including one that required nine stitches. Over the years, I had to intervene in 11 fights and physically separate the dogs. However, after Jef's first visit, Myla responded positively to a new command and my presence when Samson accidentally ran into her, and she didn't attack him. She gave him a warning bark and walked away.

Moreover, her behavior improved significantly during walks. She now walks calmly beside me and responds well to commands, even in the presence of barking dogs behind fences. She used to pull me down the road and go crazy if she saw a dog or cat. Although she still barks when a loose dog runs towards us, she calms down much faster. I've tried to avoid these situations, but my neighbor's Yorkie always runs loose.

We are incredibly grateful for Jef's knowledge and patience. We had no idea how to "speak dog," and he didn't make us feel bad. Myla is an anxious dog, and I realize that some of that was my fault because I wasn't the leader she needed. Now, she listens to me inside our home when the neighbor's dog barks, and our house is much quieter. Thanks, Jef, for making us better dog parents.

Jef has been amazing. I am seeing such a big change in Silence! I am able to use my front door! Barking is getting under control and we are working on our walking confidence and behavior. Jeff's technique with Silence does not use any harsh treatments or punishments. He has simply taught me to communicate I want an unwanted behavior to stop. I can't wait to see the continued improvement and both of us become confident enough to walk the entire neighborhood.

We can’t say enough about Jef and the incredible impact he’s had on our lives. After 1.5 years of trying everything to train our Maltipoo, Luna, we were starting to feel like we’d never figure it out. Then we had one lesson with Jef, and everything changed.

Jef has been a blessing to us with our four month old Maltipoo. I researched many trainers and I am so glad we chose to go with Bark Busters and Jef. He taught us about communication, leadership, specific training techniques, he helps us anticipate our puppy’s behavior changes as he grows and gives us homework and a training schedule that is tailored to our puppy and family needs. After our first session with him the overall feeling in our house was SO much less stressful. Jef is available when we have a concern or if we need help. He is prompt, thorough and very kind. We love Jef!

Amazing! I was in fear of being served a 7-day move out notice and was rescued by Jef and Bark Buster’s unique program. He is literally teaching an old dog lots of new tricks…. I’m the dog! He opened up his schedule for a quick appointment, he is professional, well spoken and very caring. My babies are much better behaved and all of our stress levels have gone way down in just one week! We work right inside my apartment with NO treats, NO clickers, NO waiting for a class opening. Jeff is a super hero!

Jef was an excellent trainer. He was very professional , and also made it fun to try and train our little Luna . Thank you Jef for training US , so that we know how to train our golden retriever. I can already see where I need to work on some things and also I can see a difference in Luna .

I am very happy that I chose Bark Busters. My dog, Rocket, is 8 years old, and I was a bit skeptical about him being trained. Firstly, and most important to me is a humane, non-shock training program.

Rocket has anxiety leaving the house: he doesn't want to walk far from the house; putting on his brakes usually, one house away. He's also anxious riding in the car.
Bark Busters' approach to training was different from what I expected - their six week program for Rocket is not only geared towards changing those behaviors, but to also help relieve him of some of his responsibilities (you'll understand if you reach out to them). We're teaching Rocket (and myself!) about boundaries, appropriate behavior and reactions.
Jef is very knowledgeable in this approach and I am definitely seeing results and am looking forward to our continued sessions and improvement!

Jef gave us the tools we needed in order to have stress free and peaceful walks around our neighborhood, whereas before, Star had pulled us down and even gotten away running after flying ducks. He helped us understand what Star's behavior means in human language, and he taught us how to speak in "dog's" language. This has worked splendidly. I wholeheartedly recommend Jef to anyone experiencing challenges with his/her fur baby. Jef is very friendly and professional. He can easily be reached and is always there to answer any questions that arise while implementing the techniques he teaches. He has great knowledge about dog behavior. I can't say enough good things about Jef and his training. I recommend him very highly.

Jeff was absolutely amazing with Barkbusters! I have two red heelers and a mini aussie all from rescue that needed some help. I love how the training is set for the owners like myself to become a better pack leader for the dogs. A day after our first session and I am already seeing a difference in how to better communicate and have more relaxed, calm environment. Jeff was very informative and was absolutely great with my dogs as well. Especially Nezuko who is afraid of strangers she responded to him almost immediately. I would recommend Barkbusters any day!

I really enjoyed our first training session. Jef is knowledgeable, informarive, and giving me the confidence I need to help our puppy through her extreme puppy fears. I am hopeful, after just three hours. Exhausted after our workout!

Jef was excellent! It was our first meeting with him yesterday. Very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He explained our dogs psychology and why they are acting the way they are and how to correct their behavior. We are just on step 1 at this point but are looking forward to continue working with Jef.

Jef has been great at helping our dogs Brody and Shadow behave better! Brody and Shadow both grew up in single dog homes, and when Andy and I moved in together our dogs moved in together too. At first they tolerated each other though would both express signs of dominance at times. After about 1 year it grew into some more aggressive behavior towards each other. Since working with Jef, we have learned to better communicate with Brody and Shadow which has tremendously improved their aggression and overall behavior! We couldn’t thank Jef and Bark Busters enough!

Our trainer Jef is amazing and so knowledgable about all dogs. The tactics he showed us worked immediately! It was amazing to see. I even got a few approving licks from my pups afterward. They seemed to be happy to finally be understood!

Thank you Jeff. After just one session we have hope for Benjamin where we had lost almost all hope. We know we have a long road, but with the tools you gave us I know that along with Benjamin and your help we will get there.

My dog Luna was a mess. In fact, I thought about rehoming her until my lesson with Jef. He is like a dog whisperer, because Luna and I had been to group classes before and it didn't stick. The method Jef taught me makes sense because it is based on the way dogs naturally communicate. I like it because it doesn't involve shock or prong collars. Or treats. Most importantly, I saw immediate results. It does take consistency on your part, but that's easy. It helped with Luna's incessant barking, leash reactivity and horrible door manners. I would recommend Jef to anyone.
