PermalinkMy husband and I reached out because we have a reactive doggy, Zeus, and we had been postponing some much needed training.
Upon contacting James, he was very professional and transparent about the pricing and different packages.
We are very pleased with our decision in proceeding with this business as there was immediate improvement after just one session! James has done a wonderful job identifying the behavioral issues and triggers and explaining the processes of correcting Zeus's behavior. James also doesn't rush the process and is very attentive and intentional with the time spent during the sessions as well as with the communication updates sent via text. We are very happy and pleased with the progress made so far with Zeus, and we are excited to see continued improvements!

Jef was a great fit for our family and an excellent trainer to work with. What stood out most was that the training was just as much about teaching us as it was about teaching our dogs. He helped us better understand how to communicate with our dogs, read their behavior, and reinforce the right habits consistently.

Highly Recommend Bark Busters and James!
PermalinkWe couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with Bark Busters, and specifically with James here in Bluffton, SC!
My husband and I adopted our Anatolian Shepherd Mix from a shelter when he was 6 months old. He is now 1 year and 1 month old, and he is the very first dog we’ve ever had with such a dominant, highly protective, and territorial personality. He has a strong instinct to guard us, which was a completely new experience for us to manage. We didn't want to change his natural personality, but we desperately wanted to understand him better and correct certain behaviors so we could handle him properly.
Based on the amazing reviews online, we decided to give Bark Busters a try. To be honest, we were a bit hesitant at first. Since this was all so new to us, we wondered if it would actually work and how things would go. However, we realized that understanding him was the best thing we could do for his own well-being. Looking back, we are SO glad we made that choice!
We’ve already achieved incredible results, and although the biggest part of the foundation is done, we are continuing our training journey with them. Our relationship with our dog has improved drastically, and we now truly understand how he thinks and communicates.
Our advice to anyone reading this: Do not wait until behavioral issues become severe! This journey is truly for everyone. It’s not just about fixing problems; it’s about learning how to communicate with your dog and building a deeper connection with them.
A huge shoutout to James! He is a wonderful, super friendly, and helpful person. We absolutely love the way he works with our dog, Kylo, and how he approaches both him and us as owners.

I reached out to Bark Busters due to behavioral issues with my dog Wade. After the initial training session, I am confident that Wade will learn his best puppy manners. Bonnie was so great and patient. She explained everything in detail and answered all questions. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and is as invested in correcting Wade's behavior as I am! I would highly recommend!

I had recently adopted a 5 year old, male Staffy from a shelter on the east coast. He was stuck there for 6 months and only out of his kennel 10 mins a day. As you could imagine this caused some stress and adjustment issues for him. He had shown some signs of aggression; briefly and I wanted to ensure I was doing all I could to keep him safe and confident.
PermalinkWe had our first session with Patrick today and it went extremely well! My other dog, a 5 year old female Staffy was more upset than he was about the structure we worked out. I already feel confident with the tools I have been given that the 3 of us will thrive and be enjoying less chaotic walks among other things!
Patrick really gives his clients all he can do ensure your success. Whether you learn better with demonstrations(video or hands on), reading, and keeping track on a log. He reassures that he will be there every step of the way and I just love working with people that love what they do.

Our dog has severe separation anxiety so we reached out to Bark Busters for help. After one session working with James there is a huge difference in our dogs behavior. He is giving us the tools we need to help our dogs behavior with this situation as well as keeping him from running out of the yard, and staying back from the door. I would highly recommend their services to anyone needing behavioral assistance

Bonnie is awesome. She came and spent 3 hours with my golden retriever and he is like a different dog. He’s so obedient and this is after just one session. Can’t wait to see how much further he comes after subsequent training sessions! Thank you, Bonnie!!

Ryan recently came to visit for a refresher session and the dogs were amazing they immediately recalled their Training. Since the refresher the dogs have been doing really well they still have moments where they forget and we have to use the skills to remind them but they are choosing to take the correct actions. Ryan is an amazing Trainer he is patient, understanding and compassionate he understands that we as humans can make mistakes and so can the dogs we just need to be consistent. I would 10/10 recommend this Training we tried everything collars, whistles etc and nothing worked until we met Ryan!

I cannot say enough great things about Scott from Bark Busters. He came to help with my two dogs, Harlan and River, and the results were honestly mind-blowing. I could not believe the difference after just working with him.
