Sharon has shown me in one day what I’ve been trying to accomplish for years. I am absolutely thrilled with what I witnessed today. I have two reactive dogs with separation anxiety and one that lacks boundaries and is incredibly energetic. When people walk by with or without dogs, Gunnar goes nuts, and I was struggling to control the situation and feeling so frustrated. Today I watched him engage and disengage almost instantly as a neighbor walked his dogs by my window. And I watched him respond to the correction multiple times in our session. I also watched my older, reactive dog Riley walk past a plush dog that he first barked and lunged at. With guidance from Bark Buster’s trainer, he calmly walked past without even showing interest in the dog. We also addressed leash pulling. Gunnar is the type of dog who would choke himself to go on a walk and I had tried almost everything to make it stop. Nothing worked until today. I watched my dog slow down, check in with me, and walk behind me instead of pulling me. Sharon taught me things I never would have thought of when training a dog. There’s no use of harsh collars or punishments. I truly believe with our continued practice of these techniques and use of tools that my dogs will become confident, comfortable, less reactive, and less anxious. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Thanks to Bark Busters, I now have what I need to help my dogs live a happier life.
We have a New Leash on life! After our 1st session with Sharon, we are confident we are on the road to easing the severe separation anxiety our Sparky has. He came to us in January after being rescued from Helene and losing his mom. We love him so much, and wanted to help him be happy when we aren't home. We tried everything, we thought, then called Bark Busters. We know it will take time, but we feel sure we now have the tools needed to speak Dog language. I'll update in 2 months, but he was so responsive today, it was really remarkable. We highly recommend Sharon.
Sharon can teach an old dog, new tricks! I just moved to Florida and my poor rescue 11-year-old Shih-Tzu was struggling. Sharon responded to my inquiry and fit me into her schedule right away. We had an effective and fun 3 hours getting used to our new role as leader to our 4 month old Beagle, JR and Doxie mix puppy we had spontaneously aquired at the park. Adorable, but.....the most active, curious and mischievous dog I have ever owned. So thankful we found Sharon! She spent a few hours with us and what a difference. Not needing treats is a big plus, and rather becoming completely oriented to being the leader is an amazing and effective mindset for us. We all notice how he seems so satisfied and safe as he trots along behind or beside us as we walk him around our neighborhood. I can easily retrieve items he grabs thinking he can play with them. It's almost like magic as his jaw instantly opens as we visually connect (looking serious) as I remove it from his mouth. Potty training would be 100% if it wasn't for our not doing our part, and the playful biting is under control. I love the materials Sharon left with us along with her list of practice exercises. It has been so helpful to review. Watching Sharon skillfully bring out instant results with our puppy showed us this method totally works and in such a natural and healthy way for our him. We also feel great about knowing help is just a call or visit away, should anything else surface. Thank you Sharon.
Sharon is incredibly professional yet warm and approachable. In just our first session, she shared a wealth of knowledge and gave me a whole new understanding of how dogs think and respond. My sweet Boy responded in such a positive almost unbelievable way to the techniques she taught me. Sharon truly covered every base leaving me confident and supported. I now have a clear path forward to help my dog feel more secure and thrive. I'm sure we will see amazing results by continuing to practice what she taught us. Highly recommend!
