Sharon was truly a dog whisperer. She gave clear instructions to my elderly parent and the puppy has responded beautifully! After just one visit, we had so much more control even though he is a medium/large dog. Less pulling, jumping up on people, counter, surfing, and attention demanding. Then, when we needed some reminders and reinforcement, Sharon responded promptly and came right back to fill in the blanks that we had forgotten. I would highly recommend Sharon and Bark Busters!
I wish we had found Sharon when Thor was a puppy! We have a 6-year-old Australian Cattle Dog named Thor and he lives up to all the classic traits of a Heeler. He was constantly alert and on edge. He is triggered by movement. We had issues with him being reactive, chasing cars and barking at other dogs. We tried a “treat” based trainer, and while he learned a lot of tricks, it did not solve our dog's behavioral issues. Now I have ditched the treat bag and am relating to him on an instinctual level. It has made such a significant difference. He is so much calmer and even more affectionate. Sharon has taught us great behavioral techniques. She has been available anytime we needed more reinforcement and real settings with real dogs.
Sharon has been absolutely amazing to work with! My dog, Pretzel, is scared to walk on hard surfaces — something we’ve struggled with for years. Sharon has shown me patient, effective ways to help Pretzel gain confidence walking on our hardwood floors, and we’ve already made incredible progress. What really sets Sharon apart is how she helps me think differently. She’s taught me to see things from Pretzel’s perspective and to truly understand what’s going on in her head — it’s like learning to speak her (dog) language. I had worked with another trainer a few years ago, but it wasn’t nearly as effective as Sharon’s approach. She’s kind, patient (with both me and Pretzel!), and always quick to answer questions by text or call. I’m so grateful for her guidance and can’t wait to continue working with her!

Sharon is very responsive, thorough, patient, and kind, and she explains the rationale behind dog behaviors. She taught us how to communicate with our puppy in a way she would understand. Additionally, there are no fear-based tactics and you do not have to rely on treats to correct behavior. Sharon remains flexible and available for ongoing needs and provides several supplemental materials for ongoing reminders. We saw immediate improvements in our ability to communicate with our puppy and in our puppy’s behaviors after the first meeting. Another big perk is that the training can be ongoing (if needed) for the life of the dog. I am so thankful that we found Sharon!

Highly recommend! Sharon is absolutely amazing. She is extremely knowledgeable and warm in her approach. She is non-judgmental and meets you (and your pup) where you are. We have a whole new perspective on what "training" means. She shows you how to set (or reset) hierarchy in the household so that you are the leader of the pack and can set boundaries for your dog in their own language. Its amazing how much of a difference just the first session can make for behavior and mindset. Our puppy is a 7-month-old bernedoodle and this was the perfect time to start working with Sharon before any unwanted behaviors start to become more regular. The other major selling point for us was the lifetime support guarantee. The fact that we can work with Sharon on our own schedule for the rest of our pup's life gives us a huge sense of security no matter what life throws at us.
