Sharon is amazing! I was so overwhelmed with 2 puppies and a few life events thrown in, training was always put off. They quickly hit the 10 month old mark and I felt like they were teaming up on me with bad behavior. Sharon spent a few hours training ME how to communicate what I expected from the pups. They were very responsive to her cues and caught on pretty quickly! I still have my work cut out for me, but feeling very positive and hopeful now. Like "I got this" and Sharon is always just a phone call away. Wish I made the call sooner, but ya can't go back!

We were struggling with potty training, jumping, pulling on walks, and other puppy behaviors, and after our very first session we already noticed a huge difference. Sharon is amazing! I'm with the Pug Rescue of Florida and Georgia, and we had Milo who needed behavioral help to be able to get adopted. Sharon went to the foster home and spent a few hours with them, worked with Milo and the foster parents. After that one session with Sharon, and with the foster parents using the techniques taught, Milo was a different boy. He stopped charging visitors to the house and was much more mild mannered and cooperative indoors and outside. Milo was able to be adopted, and we couldn't be happier with the result. We would highly recommend!! And if we find a need again, Sharon will be our first phone call.

Brisket is a 2–3-year-old rescue who was ready for some training after a month of acclimation and recovery in her new home. My research of local trainers brought up lots of qualified folks but Sharon at Bark Busters kept coming up again and again. Several doggie-day-care facilities even handed me her card; turns out Sharon trains a lot of folks (pups too)!
Our 3-hour session was completely different than expected and just what I needed. No treats, just quiet visuals; we didn't even utter the first verbal command until the beginning of hour 3 for that rare situation it might be necessary.
I worked with Brisket for the last two days to see how she was doing with my new training (yes, I got trained) and I just can't believe how well it has gone.
Brisket played with other dogs for the first time off leash and was such a good girl and even recalled perfectly in spite of all the beautiful chaos happening around her. She also has less separation anxiety now that I know what to do.

I have a lot of experience with owning dogs, big and small, and after a long spell of not having a dog, got my dream doggie, Dawson, the cutest, most lovable Frenchie (with people he knows). He was a re-home and I got him when he was almost a year old, had no previous socialization with people or other dogs, so it has been challenging.Took him early on to a group training which just made him more anxious and reactive, so I knew I couldn't take that approach again. I found Sharon online and after reading reviews and methods, I chose her. Our first session was last Friday, she was patient and kind and listened to all his/our challenges and immediately, first session, he was showing results. I was hoping for that result after seeing other reviews but was skeptical, naturally. We are only a few days in and I feel we have a different, stronger relationship and he has been making great progress. Still a lot of work to do, but with Sharon's guidance (and help throughout the lifetime of the dog was important, because he's a Frenchie after all!) I know we will get there. He already seems so much less anxious and happy and that makes me feel the same. I have more confidence now to know how to handle situations with her guidance. She texted before arriving at our home so we could start strategically by learning how to de-escalate the mayhem that happens when a new person comes into our house. She explained many tactics to my husband and me while demonstrating with the dog. We did not use any treats and Sharon never used any harsh methods. She used dog behavioral strategies. I have always had dogs, but never heard of tuning into the dog's perspective, but once I did, it made so much sense! From day 1, my dog now looks at my face when I go to enter or leave the house, waiting for me to signal before I proceed. We now know how to tell him, effectively, without ever raising our voices, not to jump up on us, and he responds appropriately! Sharon was very professional and friendly and it is obvious that she loves what she does. She followed up with us 2 days after her visit and was extremely helpful in answering some questions that came up since our meeting. We are completely satisfied! We are foster dog parents and will be able to put these lessons into practice with every dog that comes through our home in the future.
